In terms of shopping for modern goods Marrakech has historically been extremely poor when it comes to shopping. In 2007 a large shopping centre called ‘Marrakech Plaza’ opened with a number of European shopping outlets such as Etam and La Senza. There is also a brand new mall that is due to open soon.
